Ever Wondered How Beauty Devices Are Born? Discover the Simple Magic Behind Our ODM Process!

Wed Nov 22 16:43:25 CST 2023

In our previous discussions, we delved into mold design and production in the beauty device ODM manufacturing process, laying the foundation for the product's form and structure. To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the entire product development process, let's continue our focus on the next crucial stage the production of engineering prototypes.

The engineering prototype is a pivotal point in the evolution of beauty device design. It is not only the materialization of concepts but also the practical validation of the design. Through engineering prototypes, we can test and adjust the design in actual manufacturing, ensuring that the product's appearance, functionality, and performance meet expectations.

In this article, we will explore the specific steps involved in the production of engineering prototypes, from prototyping to functional testing, and interactions and feedback with customers. This process not only involves technical and engineering aspects but also collaboration with customers to ensure that the final product not only meets technical specifications but also addresses market demands and user expectations. Let's delve into this captivating stage and unveil the innovation journey behind engineering prototypes.

As a One-Stop ODM Beauty Device Supplier, What Does Our Engineering Prototype Production Process Look Like?

  • Engineering Prototype Production Completed

When our design team completes the initial design, including the exterior and internal structure, the manufacturing team proceeds with the first trial molding, producing the engineering prototype. This prototype should be a physical model with the final product's appearance and functionality.

  • Customer Testing and Confirmation

The engineering prototype is provided to the customer for comprehensive testing and confirmation. Customers evaluate various aspects of the product, such as appearance, performance, and functionality, ensuring it meets their expectations.

  • Feedback on Issues

During customer testing, they may identify issues or provide suggestions for improvements. This could involve design issues, functional deficiencies, or performance shortcomings. For instance, a customer might suggest, "Increase the intensity of the vibration function" or "Place the operation button on the side of the handle." The engineering team receives these suggestions, engages in further discussions with the customer, and analyzes possible modifications.

  • Modifications and Optimizations

Based on customer feedback, the manufacturing team may need to modify and optimize the engineering prototype. This could involve adjusting the design, improving performance, and addressing issues raised by the customer. The modified design is then used for the second trial molding.

  • Second Trial Molding

If significant modifications are made, a second trial molding may be necessary. This ensures that the modified design can be successfully manufactured and meets the requirements of the final product.

  • Packaging Design File Requirements

Simultaneously, customers are required to provide packaging design files. These files include the exterior design, size specifications, material requirements, and more. This is to ensure that the final product's packaging aligns with the customer's brand image and market positioning.

  • Packaging Design Confirmation

If the customer has not provided packaging design files or requires modifications to the packaging design, our manufacturing team may offer packaging design proposals for customer confirmation. Customers evaluate the design proposals and provide feedback until final confirmation is reached.

  • Production of Packaging Samples

Once the packaging design is confirmed, packaging samples are produced. This ensures that the actual packaging aligns with the design files and meets customer expectations.

  • Final Confirmation

Once customers are satisfied and confirm that there are no issues with the engineering prototype and packaging design, we can move on to the next stage, such as preparing for mass production.

Above is our engineering prototype production process as a beauty device supplier. This step marks the nearing conclusion of the beauty device ODM process. In the upcoming chapters, I will delve into the final two crucial stages of the ODM beauty device process small-scale production and mass production. These stages encompass the process from small-scale trial production to large-scale manufacturing, ensuring product replicability and high quality. Stay tuned as we explore how to successfully transform creativity into innovative products that captivate the market.
